2024 Home Projects
Hello 2024! We are now going into the 3rd week of this year and I can happily say that this has been the busiest yet most organized start to a year we’ve ever had. I’ve grown to really love January because it tends to be a protected month in the sense that we typically have little to no social plans, and can really focus on getting organized, making goals, making travel plans (if they’re known at this point), and doing home improvement projects that we know we want to tackle while we have time. On that note, we have about 5 projects that we intend to get done before the end of the month, and another 3-5 in my head that I have been slowly making little hints to Zachary about, so they are sure to come to a head roughly around June.
In the spirit of accountability, I’m sharing this initial list of projects that we are trying to get done before the end of January (optimistically) or February/March (realistically), in the hopes that memorializing it somewhere other than the list on my phone will set it in motion faster. In no particular order, we need to:
- Epoxy for the back patio
- Rock path on the right side of the backyard
- Install wall lamps on both sides of bed in master bedroom
- Sliding door to patio in living room
- Shade/drapery for sliding door in living room
- Shelving in downstairs closet
- Replace mirror in master bathroom
- French doors for entrance to master bath
….and I think that’s it. I’m really looking forward to tackling each and every one of these and I promise to keep this blog fresh with the updates to each and every home project this year.
