We Got a Dog!
Lovely Maxson readers, say hello to Kate! She is a 7-month-old Siberian husky, and as the newest addition to our little fam, we love her so much already. Her namesake is a nod to Special Agent Kate Todd (for any of you fellow NCIS fans) and we love how her name matches her spunky and lovable nature. At this time of this post, we will have had her for little over 2 months, and as new dog owners, it goes without saying that we’ve learned a lot about what works for her and what toys aren’t going to last more than 10 minutes in the house with all her puppy energy.
Going through a mountain of trial and error with toys, blankets, crates, treats, leashes, etc. to get for a new puppy is definitely enough to test anyone’s patience, so I thought I’d give y’all my first crack at a foolproof guide to everything we have somewhere in our daily routine for Kate that has at this point lasted for over 2 months, which for a husky puppy, means it’s basically indestructible. I’m sure I will have many more of these guides over the years as her routine evolves but check out these first few and let me know what you think!
